Süeda Çatakoğlu is a Turkish artist based in Boston. She is a full-tuition scholar at Berklee College of Music, pursuing degrees in Jazz Composition, Jazz Piano, and Contemporary Writing & Production. Her album, featuring interpretations of Sezen Aksu songs, reflects a blend of Turkish folk music, jazz, musical theatre, and European cabaret. Released through Ahenk Müzik, the album showcases Süeda’s diverse influences, from classical piano techniques to contemporary jazz approaches. Her vocals draw inspiration from Turkish cabaret, Turkish rock, and Broadway genres, while her lyric writing is influenced by Turkish poets like Turgut Uyar, Didem Madak, and Cemal Süreya.
